Keith Koenig Obituary

Keith Edward Koenig

of New Holstein - Keith Edward Koenig, age 63, of New Holstein, Wisconsin, went to be with his Savior on Thursday, February 11, 2021, at home with his loving wife by his side.

Keith was born July 24, 1957, in Sheboygan, WI, son of the late Robert and Evelyn (Hoefler) Koenig. He attended Kiel Schools.

On October 1, 1977, he married his life partner of 43 years, Helen Hansen.

Keith was employed at Stoelting as a Finisher/Polisher. In his youth, he thrived in the outdoors working on the land especially enjoying hay cutting season. He found great joy in gardening.

He loved being with his family and enjoyed family vacations. A man who preferred keeping his feet on the ground, Keith surprised Helen with a memorable vacation in Mexico. Keith loved to have his family around him while making them laugh, always employing his sense of humor and doling out treats to his dog Charlie "Chuck".

Survivors include his beloved wife, Helen and his treasured children Jennifer (fiancé Stephen) Koenig, Sheboygan, and Michael (Becky) Koenig, Kiel. His precious grandchildren Alicia Cardenas, Madison Zeman, Connor and Rylan Mleziva, Donivan and Sage Koenig. He is further survived by brothers Daniel Koenig, Dennis (Jody) Koenig, sisters Judy (Neil) Bratz, Pam (Randy) Bratz, brothers-in-law David Hansen, Allen Dietrich, Robert Deehr, Gary Bach and sisters-in-law Linda Dietrich, Dolores Deehr, Tammy Koenig, and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his infant twins Aaron and Sheri, his parents Robert and Evelyn (Hoefler) Koenig, grandparents John and Angeline (Binversie) Koenig and Edward and Anna (Hartmann) Hoefler, father and mother-in-law Eugene and Maria Hansen, brothers Kenneth and Richard Koenig, and sisters-in-law Mary Koenig and Nancy Bach.

A family gathering is planned for later this year to celebrate Keith's life.

In remembrance of Keith's life, the family asks that any charitable donations be made to Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice.

Keith's family would like to express their deep gratitude to Dr. Susan Joseph, the nurses, social worker, chaplain and staff at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice for their compassionate care. Thank you to Dr. Michael Johnson and staff at Sheboygan Internal Medicine and the nurses and staff at St. Nicholas Hospital Dialysis.
