Marcella "Marcy" Devine

Plymouth - Marcella "Marcy" Devine, 92, formerly of Sheboygan County, passed away on February 25, 2021 at her residence at the Maple Meadows Care Facility in Fond du Lac where she resided for the past six years.

Marcella was born on September 5, 1928 in the Town of Rhine, Wisconsin, to Elmer and Edwina (Holtzmann) Holzschuh. Marcella graduated from Harrison Grade School in the Town of Rhine, Elkhart Lake High School, and the Sheboygan County Normal School. On May 14, 1955 she married John E. ("Jack") Devine in Elkhart Lake. During their 49 years of marriage, they resided in the Town of Belgium, Adell and for 41 years they owned a dairy farm in the Town of Scott. Marcy helped her husband on their farm and also worked at multiple jobs, most recently at RE/Max Universal Realty in Plymouth until her retirement in 2000.

Long known for her positive outlook on life, she was a member of the St. John the Baptist Parish in Plymouth and Daughters of Isabella. She enjoyed the outdoors, socializing, card games, reading, volunteering, and her family.

Marcy was preceded in death by her husband John, her sister Evangeline Lange, and her daughter Janice. She leaves her daughter Linda (Adelman) and husband Gary; son Bob and wife Mary; son Alan; and many relatives on the Holtzmann side of her family.

A memorial mass for Marcella for friends and relatives to celebrate her life will be held at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Plymouth at a later date once the state pandemic restrictions are lifted. Following cremation, inurnment will be beside her husband at Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery in Kiel.

Marcella's family extends their appreciation to the staff of Maple Meadows for their devotion and loving concern for Marcella.
