Matthew Renzelmann Obituary

Renzelmann, Matthew J.

Matthew J. Renzelmann, 35, of Sheboygan passed away on Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at his home.

Matthew was born on August 19, 1977. He attended local schools and graduated from high school in 1995. As an adult he worked at Wolf Cycle, Richardson Lumber and the Kohler Company.

Matthew dearly loved his daughter, Ava, age 2, and cherished every moment that he spent with her. He was a friend to all, quick to offer help, even to strangers. He was passionate about his dogs, Lola and Lexie and loved to walk them along Lake Michigan and taking them to the dog park. He was an avid motorcycle enthusiast and earlier in his life was a skilled BMX rider. He felt pure joy when he rode motorcycles and enjoyed fixing and maintaining them, working with his own hands. Matthew had a wonderful sense of humor and could always bring a smile to people's faces. He had a heart of gold with a beautiful spirit. He was his own person and didn't follow others, but rather lead them. Words cannot express how deeply Matthew was loved and how immensely he will be missed.

Matthew is survived by his beloved daughter, Ava; his parents, Michael and Kathleen (Nickels) Renzelmann; a sister, Julie (Corey) Hauck; his niece, Lyla Hauck and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A funeral service for Matthew will be held 7 p.m., Saturday, September 29 (TODAY) at the Reinbold-Novak Funeral Home with Rev. Richard Cerpich officiating. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home, 1535 S. 12 St. on Saturday from 4:30 p.m. until the time of the service at 7 p.m. Following cremation a portion of his cremated remains will be scattered in The Kettles, a place he enjoyed riding his motorcycle.

My prayers go out to Matt's family & friends. May this time bring comfort and strength through Christ Jesus. I remember the times we played basketball & video games together. Matt was always passionate at what he did. May God use this situation to draw others close to the creator of all things. Life on earth is too short.

My memories of Matt are mostly from when we were kids living across the alley from each other. Walking to kindergarten together, riding bikes, and playing kick the can in the alley. You will be missed, Matt.
