Terrence Krause Obituary

Krause, Terrence "Terry"

Terrence "Terry" Krause, age 59, of Sheboygan, passed away peacefully at home with his wife by his side early Thursday morning, January 8, 2015 after a long, courageous battle with Muscular Dystrophy.

He was born March 3, 1955 in Sheboygan to Edward and Jean (Schild) Krause. He attended Holy Name of Jesus Grade School and was a graduate of Sheboygan North High School, Class of 1973. He attended UW-Sheboygan for two years after which he enlisted in the US Navy. Following his honorable discharge he attended LTI, receiving an Associate Degree in Mechanical Design.

For a number of years Terry was employed at Yellow Cab Co. as a driver and dispatcher and later worked at Art Imig Dry Cleaner's until his retirement due to his debilitating illness.

On August 29, 1992 Terry and Lisa Tasche were united in marriage in Sheboygan.

Terry enjoyed reading, coin collecting, miniature golf and bowling, playing cards, board games, and computer games. He especially loved spending time with his wife, Lisa and traveling to the Tasche family cabin in Amberg, WI.

In addition to his loving wife, Lisa, he is survived by three brothers, Tom Krause of San Diega, CA, Tim (Cheryl) Krause of Plymouth, MN, and Tony (Vicki) Krause of Waukesha, WI; nieces and nephews, Jenny (Aaron) Legan, Sharon Krause, Kelly (Gaylan) Detlor, Ben (Kisa) Krause, Rachel Krause, Joseph Krause; three great-nephews; his aunt, Billie Batt of Alaska; many relatives and friends; and his beloved cat, Chloe.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Jayne Krause.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 17, 2015 at the Chapel of Eternal Light at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Rev. Matthew Widder, Pastor of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, will officiate. A time of visitation and support will be held from 12:00 noon until the time of service.

A memorial fund has been established in his name.

Terry's family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the caring staffs at Home Instead and St. Nicholas Hospital, including their hospice staff and ICU.

Dear Lisa,

I am so deeply sorry for your loss. I am heartbroken. Please know that I am lifting you in prayer and thinking of you all the time. I love you, Lisa. I'm sorry I can't be there this weekend in person, but I will be there in spirit. You are not alone.

I thank God for Terry's life and what an impact he had on mine. I will carry him with me always. Thank you for taking such good care of him and loving him so well. You are a blessing and a wonderful person, Lisa. Sending you many hugs, prayers and all my love.

"For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord" (Romans 8:38-39).

My Dear Friend Lisa. I enjoyed working with Terry and spending time with both of you. Terry and I would watch the Packer games and talk about people we knew growing up with in High School. Terry was a fun guy to joke around with and he would make me laugh. He was a believer in his faith, and he taught me real humility. I especially enjoyed bringing food in for all of us, and we would eat together. It saddened me when I found out about his illness and was glad to spend time with him before his passing.
Lisa. I am sorry for your loss. I know you will miss Terry. I hope to continue our friendship and want to let you know if there is anything you need or need help with remember I am only a call away.
