William Voelker Obituary
Sheboygan - William E. Voelker (Bill) passed away on January 15th, at Miramar Beach, FL.
He was 85 years old, born on September 22, 1933 in Sheboygan to Edwin and Malitta (Gehr) Voelker. He was a graduate of Sheboygan North High School class of 1951.
He served in the U.S. Navy from 1951-1954 aboard the U.S.S. aircraft carrier Philippine Sea during the Korean War.
Bill attended Central Technical Institute in Kansas City and was hired by Western Airlines in Minneapolis, MN on June 21, 1955. He held many positions with both Western and Delta operations. He retired from Delta Airlines October 1, 1994 after a career of almost 40 years.
Bill was an avid golfer and enjoyed collecting old music and movies. Upon returning to Sheboygan he became a member of his high school reunion committee which he actively and thoroughly enjoyed. He was a lifetime member of the Sheboygan Elks Lodge 299 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9156.
Bill and Beverly Ann Giebler of Ellsworth, WI were married in Richfield, MN on May 21, 1960. They celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary last year.
Bill is survived by his wife Beverly and many relatives and friends from around the country. After retirement, Bill and Bev did a lot of traveling through National Parks and the Western U.S., as well as many trips to Hawaii.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Lois Arrowood and a beloved little "furry" friend of 16 years.
As Bill wished, there will be no service. Cremation has taken place with private inurnment at Greenlawn Chapel of Eternal Life.

My sympathies in the passing of Bill. I was always the youngest cousin and never fit in, but Bill made it a point to go out of his way to notice me. He will be missed. May God Bless him.
