Gene Dixon Obituary

GROVER- Gene Dixon, 67, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2011, at his residence.
He was born Sept. 18, 1943, in Cleveland County, to the late Earnest and Beatrice Jackson Dixon.
Gene was a member of Love Valley Baptist Church in Kings Mountain. He loved his family and his church family dearly and enjoyed giving candy to the children in the church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Earnest James Dixon Jr.
Survivors include his brothers and sisters-in-law, Michael Eugene Dixon and wife, Amy, Kenneth Dale Dixon and wife, Jackie, Marty Wayne Bolin and wife, Darlene; sisters, Mildred Louise Gregory, Evelene Dover and a number of nieces and nephews.
Visitation: The family will receive friends from 6-7:30 p.m. Friday at Love Valley Baptist Church in Kings Mountain
Funeral Service: 7:30 p.m. Friday at Love Valley Baptist Church, Kings Mountain
Commital Service: 2 p.m. Saturday at Mountain Rest Cemetery
