HERMAN LEDBETTER

BOILING SPRINGS, SC-Samuel Herman Ledbetter, 74, of Boiling Springs, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 26, 2017, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. He was the widower of Faye Byars Ledbetter, who died in 2010.

Mr. Ledbetter was a native of Boiling Springs, NC, and a son of the late George Ollen and Alice Burns Ledbetter. Herman was a truck driver and a member of Flint Hill Baptist Church in Shelby, NC. He was a member of Boiling Springs Masonic Lodge #413, Boiling Springs Order of the Eastern Star #283, Lone Oak OES #208, Cherokee Springs Fire Department, Spartanburg Amateur HAM Radio, Spartanburg County Emergency Response Team, and was also an honorary member of many other Masonic lodges.

He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Angie Ledbetter of Inman; a granddaughter, Katlyn Ledbetter; brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert and Mildred Ledbetter of Shelby, Dan Ledbetter of Shelby; sisters and brothers-in-law, Waynett and Irvin Scruggs of Shelby, Judy and Jerry Dover of Shelby, and Christie Blanton of Boiling Springs, SC; along with numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, George Wesley Ledbetter.

Visitation will be held from 1 until 3 p.m., on Saturday, Jan. 28, 2017, at Eggers Funeral Home of Boiling Springs.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m., on Monday, Jan. 30, 2017, at Cleveland Memorial Park Chapel, 1225 College Ave., Shelby, NC, officiated by the Rev. Keith Dixon.

Interment will follow in the cemetery.
