Barbara Ledbetter Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Tuscaloosa Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, Memorial Park, and Crematory on Mar. 10, 2026.
Barbara Ann Ledbetter, age 87, of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, passed away Saturday, March 7, 2026, at her residence. Graveside services and burial will be held Saturday, March 14, 2026, at 10:00 A.M. at Tuscaloosa Memorial Park. Mr. David Bonner will be officiating.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel Marvin and Mary Odie Corder Marrow; the love of her life, James C. "Jimmy" Ledbetter; granddaughter-in-law, Tonya Baines; 3 brothers; and 3 sisters.

Barbara is survived by her only child, Michael Ledbetter (Maresa); grandchildren, Joshua, Chris, Brandi (Thomas), and Carl (Jessica); great grandchildren, Austin, Hayden, Maci, Mason, and Jameson; and the beloved family dog, Winnie.

Barbara was born on December 2, 1938, to the late Samuel and Mary Odie Corder Marrow. She was married to Jimmy for 56 years, until his death in 2008. Barbara and Michael continued to run Bonnor Body Shop until her health declined and Michael and Maresa moved in with her to provide her with in-home care.

Special love and blessings to her grandson, Carl for the love and care he gave to his grandmother, enabling her to remain in her home, to Brandi for her weekends spent here, for Joshua and Chris for being there for us.

Special thanks to Hospice of West Alabama for all their care, support, and guidance as we navigated the home care or our mother/grandmother. Morgan, Tammy, Tina, you're the best, and heartfelt thanks to Brett for being here with us at the end.

Pallbearers will be Geraldo Rodriguez Sr., Jonathon Carr, Jeff Graham, Kenny, Holden Hughes, and Jason Hughes.

Honorary pallbearers will be past employees of Bonnor Body Shop, employees of Guns and Ammo, and friends and neighbors of Summerfield.
