Hoyle Wright Obituary
A native of Cleveland County he worked as a pressroom manager for The Shelby Daily Star for over 37 years. He was a lifetime member of Fallston Baptist Church where he was church teller and a member of the Joy Club. He also served as a former deacon chairman, Sunday school director and RA leader. Mr. Wright was a graduate of Fallston High School and a member of the 1949 Flying Five Championship Basketball Team. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict.
He is preceded in death by father, Clemmie McCoy Wright and mother, Nutrice Novella Greene Wright; as well as a brother Norris Wright.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years Eloise Spangler Wright; son and daughter in law Jeffrey and Denise Wright, of Kings Mountain; daughter and son in law Sheila and Tracy Whisnant of Shelby; sister and brother in law Mavine and Stough Willis of Fallston; two grandchildren Ricky and Sage Wright; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Visitation: The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:30 to 3:15 p.m. at Stamey Funeral Home.
Funeral: Sunday, at 4 p.m., at Fallston Baptist Church.
Burial: Rose Hill Memorial Park

Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to Fallston Baptist Church Building Fund, PO Box 116, Fallston, NC, 28042.
