Mabel Moody Obituary

SHELBY- Mabel Louise Greene Morton Moody, 85, passed away Friday, May 22, 2015, at Hospice Wendover.
She was born in Cleveland County on Nov. 15, 1929, to the late Noah and Annie Ivester Greene. Mabel enjoyed watching television, outdoors and watching birds. She loved spending time with her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, Glen Morton and her second husband, Bob Moody; sisters, Hazel Clark and Grace Greene; and brothers, Nick Greene and George Greene.

Mabel is survived by her son, Danny Morton and wife Janice of Shelby; grandchildren, Tammy Walker and husband Ray of Rockhill, S.C., Patrick Morton and wife Shannon of Roanoke, Va., Bethany Jacobson and husband Matt of Iowa; great grandchildren, Tyler Lane, Alex Walker, Hunter Walker and Gabriel Morton; and her canine companion, Elizabeth.

Funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at Boiling Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Joseph Greene officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the sanctuary. Burial will follow at Cleveland Memorial Park.

Memorials may be made to, Cleveland County Humane Society 1609 E. Marion St. Shelby, NC 28150 or Hospice Wendover 951 Wendover Heights Drive Shelby, NC 28150.
