Pauline Glover Obituary

PAULINE GLOVER

SHELBY-Pauline "Polly" Izzi" Glover, 87, died Saturday, March 19, 2016, at White Oak Manor of Shelby. A native of Gaston County, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Carmella Marie Dimeo Izzi. Polly was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, and retired from Cornwell Drug and Plastic Oddities in Shelby. She enjoyed square dancing and cooking.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Mike, Jerry, L.B., and Joe Izzi; sisters, Angeline Hall, Christine Whisnant, and Katherine McArthur; grandchildren, Johnny and Chris Glover.

She is survived by her sons, Tommy Glover and wife Teressa of Mooresboro, and Dany Glover and wife Candy of Shelby; brother, Tony Izzi Jr. of Shelby; grandchildren, Scott, Danielle, and Matthew Glover, Lynn Hollars, and Any Hannon; 16 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m., Tuesday, at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home.

A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, at St. Mary Catholic Church, officiated by the Rev. Fr. Michael Kottar.

Burial will follow in Sunset Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to St. Mary Catholic Church, 818 McGowan Road, Shelby, NC 28150.
