Charles Kassheimer Obituary

Charles R Kassheimer, age 88 of Shelton, husband of the late Veronica Healy Kassheimer, passed away March 22, 2013 at Griffin Hospital, Derby

Charles was born in Shelton, February 17, 1925, son of the late Joseph and Rosa Northrup Kassheimer

Mr Kassheimer was a veteran of the US Navy during WWII serving as Ship's Cook Third Class on many ships After WWII, he was employed as a set up man for the former BF Goodrich of Shelton and as a custodian for the Shelton Post Office for 33 years until his retirement

He is survived by sons Michael of East Haven and Stephen (JoAnn) of Mandeville, Louisiana; a daughter Rose Marie Kassheimer-Syarto (Tony) of Shelton; grandchildren Kaileigh (Mark) and Joseph Syarto (Christina) and Justin Doll

He is predeceased by a brother Paul Kassheimer

Calling hours will be held Monday from 5 PM to 8 PM in the JAMES T TOOHEY & SON FUNERAL HOME, 92 HOWE AVE, SHELTON A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday at 10 AM in St Margaret Mary Church, 380 Long Hill Ave, Shelton Burial with full military honors will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Shelton Memorial contributions may be made to St Margaret Mary Church, Connecticut Hospice, or the Alzheimer's Association through the funeral director
