Gwen Brooks Obituary
She was born Dec. 8, 1955, in Muskegon. Gwen moved to Fountain in 1979 and married the love of her life, Jayson Brooks. She loved being with her family and friends, playing cards and hunting.
She is survived by her loving husband Jayson; her son Eric (Carena) Brooks; sister Dawn Tyrakowski of Dowagiac; half-sister Mary Jo Veenstra of Twin Lakes; grandchildren Leah and Brinton Brooks, Roxanne Kirwin and Shayla Leonard; aunt Jan (Dave) Pearce of Paw Paw; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and very good friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Marlene and Joseph Loseth Jr.
Memorial contributions can be made to Mason County Mutts or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Arrangement have ben entrusted to Oak Grove Funeral Home of Ludington, www.OakGroveLudington.com.

Gwen and I go way back. Our parents were friends. I remember my mother telling me you have to meet these girls. They are so cute! They're beautiful. And she was right. Gwen and I have been friends for many years. Hunting, drinking coffee,playing cards and hours on the phone while she delivered the mail. I loved her and I will miss her dearly.

Gwen and I go way back. Our parents were friends. I remember my mother saying "you have to meet Marlenes girls. They're so cute. They are beautiful!". I met Gwen and mom was right. We hunted together, drank a lot of coffee and played lots of cards. Told each other secrets and confidences. She was my dear friend and I loved her. I could go on but I won't. I will miss her so much.
