Bill was patient, kind and funny. He understood that each "today" is all we have and he lived fully with an appreciation of family, friends, and the world around him. I´ll miss his wonderful nature pictures and (sometimes corny) jokes. To me, he was a model of what retirement should look like.
I´m glad I got to see him one last time when he called on friends to join him for coffee on his return to Wisconsin.
He will be missed!

I'm so sorry for your loss and sad that another family member has left us. I'm sure my dad and the rest of the family were there to greet left us here to be with our Lord. We haven't had much communication but I've always felt the family connection in every paragraph or letter sent. We shared our history. I will miss that. Our family numbers are declining here in this life. I will miss his funny, happy, love filled updates and all the adventures he had, right up till his last moments. I'm sure that's exactly as he would have wanted it. My sincere condolences to all who will miss him, the loss is great.
