David E. Read

BOSSIER CITY, LA - Services for David E. Read, 66, will be 11 a.m. Thursday, June 18, 2009 at Airline Baptist Church. Officiating will be Rev. Chad Grayson pastor of Airline Baptist Church, assisted by Rev. Harrell Shelton associate pastor of the church. Interment will follow at Rose-Neath Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 17, 2009 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Bossier City, LA.

David was born December 11, 1942 in Greensburg, PA to Richard and Vera Schwartz Read and died June 15, 2009 in Bossier City, LA. He was a member of Airline Baptist Church and served as a deacon there. He was a sales representative for Allstate Insurance.

David loved the Lord and enjoyed serving on the baptism committee at church. He also loved playing golf with his friends. His family was his greatest joy.

His parents and a brother, Richard Read preceded him in death.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Jan Read of Bossier City, sons, Chris Read and wife Karen of Vancouver, WA, Ryan Read and Daniel Read, both of Bossier City, daughter, Robin Leger and husband Coby of Eunice, LA.

Honoring David as pallbearers will be Larry Sexton, Jim Tharp, Keith Bush, Andy Stephenson, Jere Causey, Joe Windham and Jerry Elkins.

Memorials may be made to the Airline Baptist Church Building Fund, 4007 Airline Dr, Bossier City, LA 71111. Rose-Neath Funeral Home
