George Valentine Evanoff

SHREVEPORT, LA - Service celebrating the life of George Valentine Evanoff will be held on Friday December 20, 2013 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel at Rose-Neath Marshall Street. Interment will follow at Forest Park Cemetery St. Vincent. The family will receive friends at 10 AM prior to the service.

George was born August 12, 1924 and passed away on December 18, 2013.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Slavka Evanoff and wife Syble.

Left to cherish his memory is his son Dr. George V. Evanoff, Jr. and wife, Sandra of Silverdale, WA.; daughter Debbie Abrahm and husband, Billy of Ruston, LA; daughter Diane Germain and husband, John of Port Ludlow, WA; brothers Mitchell Evanoff and wife, Mary; James D. Evanoff; grandchildren; Shelley Cooper and husband, Jere; Lindsey Clark and husband, Bobbie; Matt Abrahm, Kristen Germain and Fiance', Noah Mery; Jill Germain, Erin Evanoff and Ryan Evanoff and wife, Kendall; eight great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.

George was a World War II Veteran in the Army. A graduate of C.E. Byrd High School and Louisiana Tech. He worked for Texas Eastern Transmission Co. for 34 years. He was a loving husband to Syble for 55 years and adoring father to their three children. George was also an avid deer hunter.

The family would like to thank Montclair Park Assisted Living Staff for their loving care and compassion.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to donor's favorite charity.

Was my privilege to be acquainted with George, Syble and the Evanoff family.. Considered them all special friends of ours. Billy worked at Texas Eastern and knew all three of the Evanoff brothers.. We're are sorry for your loss.
