Margie Hudson Stephens

COUSHATTA, LA - Margie Hudson Stephens went home to the Lord on June 4, 2009 at the Highland Hospital in Shreveport, Louisiana with loved ones by her side. She was born in McBride, Mississippi on July 16, 1931.

Margie was a retired employee of Sears with 38 years of service and also a retired Secretary of the First Baptist Church in Coushatta, Louisiana. She was a charter member of the Open Door Fellowship Church in Coushatta and walked with the Lord.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Fannie Hudson, daughter, Diane Stephens Fairchild and brothers Boyd and Edward Hudson.

Margie is survived by her husband of 39 years, Thomas P. Stephens; daughter Tonya Loftin White; sons Michael D. Loftin and Thomas (Stevie) Stephens; grandchildren Amy Minton, Meghan White, Chase Loftin, Sarah White, Brittany Loftin, Emily White, Jenny Loftin and Joshua Loftin; great-grandchildren Madison Minton and Chandler Minton; sisters Frances Barrett, Sylvia Bowman and Annette Giordano; brothers J. B. Hudson, Cornie Hudson and Johnny Hudson; and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of her life will be held at Rockett-Nettles Funeral Home Chapel in Coushatta on Sunday, June 7, 2009 at 2:00 P.M with Bro. Tom Smith officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. on Saturday, June 6, 2009 at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Brent Cormier, Stephen Bates, David Adams, Jimmy Stothart, Lewis Brown, Roger Cason and Pat Murray. Honorary pallbearers will be Ken Adams, Stan Horton, Jack Lafield, John James, Ray Walker, Walter Moseley and Duane Hudson.

Memorials may be made to the Open Door Fellowship Church in Coushatta, Louisiana.
