Minette was my daughter Ginny's Second Grade teacher at University in our Shreveport Neighborhood at University Elementary. She was a favorite of hers and mine. Ginny always came home with some funny stories that had happened that day. I became friends with her immediately. I was teaching Kindergarten at that time at Sun City Elementary in Bossier City. Her Grandfather sweet old Mr. Golf... would always buy my lemonade when he drove by my house. He lived not far from me. Minette had my dad for English in College and really liked him. Eventually I would see Minette at Asbury Methodist. Always her beautiful bubbly self. She always asked about Ginny. Our paths crossed earlier when my son, Robbie Dean started Kindergarten . Jake one of Minette's grandsons was Robbie's age and they became friends. Bud,my husband and Chris started coaching their Little League Baseball and Basketball teams together. Minette always came to most all games. She was such a fun and energetic Southern Belle. She was beautiful, spirited and loved her daughter Carolyn and Chris and family with all her heart. She opened her home up to their boy scout troop one time that I remember. They all got to ride in her boats and enjoy her beautiful yard . She had snacks for all . She always told me how cute she thought Robbie was then... like Tom Sawyer. I loved her because she really took interest in my children and was so much fun. Did I mention she was beautiful and so was her daughter Carolyn and I am sure still is. I was so saddened to hear of her passing along with her beloved husband of so many years.. My heart goes out to Carolyn and Chris and family... also her other child and all the family and close friends. Sincerely with Love, Stephana and Bud Dean

Minette was such a lady and a joy to be around. Each time I saw her, she greeted me in such a sincere way , that made me feel special. Billy Tom and I always enjoyed her super bowl parties, and we have fond memories of socializing over good food and good friends. She will be missed by many, and the tragedy of her loss is immense. Prayerfully, Carol Jean Johnston
