15 years later and I just happened to google Richards name and found out about his passing. He was a good friend in college at Southwestern and I distinctly remember his love of animals. I don't think it is ever too late to remember or appreciate someone from our past.
Bless you Richard and the life you led. I will always remember you.

Mrs. Brelsford, Linda, and Mark,
I am deeply sorry for your loss. How lucky I am to have known Richard. How proud you should be for the wonderful, caring, talented, and always smiling guy that was a member of your family. Richard and I became friends the day we met and remained so for the next 30+ years. I have some great memories, but the world will definitely be a smile and a twinkle
short without my friend.

Dear Mrs. Brelsford,
My heart goes out to you in your loss. Richard was an extraordinary person. I haven't seen him since I left Shreveport in 1976, but I have thought of him often. I loved him very much. I have so many wonderful memories of Richard's kindness and thoughtfulness. He was such a gentleman. I remember the Godspell tour well. In fact, I had a 9-hour car trip last weekend and I sang with the soundtrack and reminisced about Richard, Charlotte Taylor, Charlotte Clay, Jeanine Dickens, Tim Eakins, Harmon Jackson, Knox Andress, Frances Flournoy, Mary Ellen Poole, and so many others who were involved in choir with Richard at FMC. It is hard to imagine that he is gone. Even after all these years, I can still vividly recall his smile and his voice. I cherish those memories and hope that your memories will comfort you in this very sad time. You and your family will be in my prayers.
