BOSSIER CITY, LA - Violet Stevens Taft, age 81, of Bossier City, LA, died Wednesday, March 14, 2007, at Christus Schumpert Medical Center in Shreveport, LA.
Arrangements are being handled by Aulds Funeral Home, 7849 East Kings Highway, Shreveport, LA, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday, March 16, 2007. Funeral service will be at Aulds Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 PM Saturday, March 17, 2007 with interment to follow at Hill Crest Memorial Park in Haughton, LA
She is survived by her son, Jimmy Lee Taft of Greenwood, LA, one grand-daughter Lesli Tuggle and husband, Bill of Shreveport, LA, one grandson, Jimmy Lee Taft, Jr. and wife Debbie of Plain Dealing, LA, four great grandchildren, Lacie Jay Taft, Callie Elizabeth Tuggle, Trey Tuggle and Dena Elaine Tuggle, one sister, Wanda Shipp of Weatherford, TX and a companion of thirty-five years, Bruce Beaudean of Bossier City,
Mrs. Taft was active for over forty years as a Pink Lady at Bossier General Hospital as well as a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. www.auldsfuneral.com

Vi was a great person and will be missed. This brings back memories of our "family" at BMC. We used to go to lunch at Pete Harris with Vi and I always sat in the back of the car so I didn't have to see how she drove. She would stop in the middle of the street in the middle of lanes in Downtown Shreveport. She was something else.
