Jerrie radiated a calm, peace and friendliness that was real. I will always remember, as I had secured my plane, turning in to a humble little hotel in the jungle, walking by her and Ruth's room, seeing them both reading their Bibles. Truly a privilege for us who served with such a special and gifted, yet humble 'Hero' !

What an extraordinary woman! She passed all the rigorous tests and should have been given the chance to go into space. Watching her interviews, she was a positive, humble lady with a kind spirit. It was not surprising she later flew humanitarian missions. What a great example she set paving the way for women astronauts.

I'll never forget her sunny smile, kindness and generous spirit. She helped my family many years ago during a very difficult time. Ruth and Jerrie were there when we lost most of our friends. Jerrie has a permanent home in our hearts. And, she's with our most beloved Friend, Jesus. Thank you, Jerrie. You will never be forgotten.
