I did not know Mr. Trella, but I remember his dad while a student at Port Richmond High School. A fine son with a life well lived, from a fine father with a life well lived! May they both rest in our Lord.

Mr. Trella was my teacher when I was in the third grade I think at P.S. 55. I am 64 years old. He was a fabulous teacher and would draw a little airplane on some of my assignments. I remember him coming to dinner at my house. My name is Pamela Cicio Wilson. So very sorry to read that he has died. May God bless him always.

Mr. Trella had the kindest soul and biggest passion for life, history and travel. He was a wonderful patient of ours. I´ll miss hearing his stories, we grew such a special bond. May he rest in peace & condolences to his family.

I was randomly thinking of Mr. Trella on my way home from work today. A horrible feeling in my gut told me to check the obituaries. He was a patient in the dental office where I work. I knew him as a patient for 20 years and I always looked forward to hearing about his latest travel adventures. He was a man who really lived life to the fullest. He´ll be missed by many.

Although I didn´t know this Mr. Trella, I did have his Dad of the same name as my gym teacher at Port Richmond H. S.
The resemblance is amazing, and from what is written here, they both were very accomplished and respected educators! Thank you for your service Lou Trella

My children (now 36 and 40) were students at PS 55. I served as the PTA President. I shared many interesting conversations with Mr Trella. He was a cultured gentleman who shared his world experiences with enthusiasm. Blessing to have known him.

Very sorry to hear about Louis' passing. We were neighbors of the Treglias from 1963-1983. He was a kind, intelligent man.
May he rest in peace.
