Mark John Bennett Jr. Devoted husband & father, founder of church, 35 Mark John Bennett Jr., 35, died July 30, 2021, with his family by his side in Jacksonville, Fl. Mark was born March 10, 1986, to Mark and Diane Bennett of Staten Island, NY. Mark met and married his wife, Anita Bennett, while attending Coastal Carolina University. He spent his career in education. Additionally, he held a Bachelor's of Divinity and sought to serve the Lord in ministry, founding and briefly pastoring Sure Word Baptist Church (Vilano Beach). Mark was an active member of Bible Believer's Baptist Church. Mark and Anita welcomed their "miracle baby", Kingsley, in 2018. Mark was a devoted husband and father. He was passionate about his family, friends, faith and country. All those who knew him would describe him as full of joy, a friend to all and genuine in the way that he lived and loved. Mark is preceded in death by his grandparents - Claude Suthard, Concetta Suthard, John Bennett, Patricia Bennett; uncle - Claude Suthard; brothers - Andrew Bennett, Joseph Bennett; Father-in-Law - Gary Moore. Mark is survived by Anita Bennett (wife), Kingsley Bennett (son), Parents: Mark & Diane Bennett; Aunts & Uncles: Theresa Suthard, June Bennett, Eileen Wilkie, Barbara Spinelli, Tony Spinelli; Cousins: Tony Suthard, Lillian Suthard, Angela Suthard, Michael DiMarco, Christin Nierman (Josh), Paul Spinelli (Christa), David Wilkie (Anne Marie). The visitation will be held Friday, August 6, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM in Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin. 11801 San Jose Blvd. Jacksonville, FL 32223. The funeral service will be held Saturday, August 7, 2021 at 10:00 AM in Bible Believers Baptist Church. 3857 Hartley Rd. Jacksonville, FL 32257.
