Aaron Gross Obituary

Aaron Benjamin Gross, 21, of Santa Clarita, suffered an accidental death in his home August 11, 2009.

Aaron was born September 15, 1987 at Holy Cross Hospital in Mission Hills, California and had been a lifelong resident of Santa Clarita. He attended Mitchell Elementary School, Sierra Vista Junior High, Canyon High School and College of the Canyons. At the time of his death he was working as a personal trainer.

Aaron was an honor student throughout his schooling, participating in Math Field Day in elementary school. He was a standout player on the football team all four years in high school and continued playing at College of the Canyons. In his younger years, Aaron loved drawing and painting. BMX racing was his passion for many years. He enjoyed the outdoors, actively embraced adventure, and most of all, loved spending time with his family and many friends.

Aaron is survived by his loving parents Dennis and Barbara Gross, younger brother Nathan Gross and numerous other family and friends.

A Memorial Service will take place Monday, August 17, 2009 – 11:00 A.M. at the Northpark Community Church, 28310 Kelley Johnson Parkway, Santa Clarita, with the Dr. David White officiating.

Aaron's family wrote, "Aaron will be remembered as a great friend to many, a wonderful son and a true brother. He will always be known for his smile, warmth, exuberance, enthusiasm and sense of humor. He could always make anyone laugh. He was larger than life and is loved by all who knew him."

To the Gross Family,

I literally just found out about Aaron's passing:[ I went to Mitchell with him and I live in the neighborhood next to yours and though I hadnt spoken to him in a while, I will always remember going to math field day with him when we were litle and how he made everyone in our little group of friends laugh. He was such a positive and bright guy and I am glad I had the opportunity to know him. My thoughts and prayers are with your family<3

I just recently heard the unfortunate news. I've known Aaron since I was a freshmen in 2004. Sad to see someone so genuine go. My thoughts are with his family and friends. You will never be forgotten.

I would like to offer our condolences. I worked at Mitchell Elem. and do remember your son. He was a kind and warm hearted individual. I lost my son due to accidental death in April of 2007. My son Aaron Joseph Smith also was 21 at the time of his passing. He also enjoyed and participated for years in BMX racing. The loss of a child is extremely difficult. I encourage your family and friends to cherish and hold Aaron's memories close to their hearts. I am truely sorry for your loss.
