Cora Byrd Obituary
Cora Marie Byrd, 88, of Los Angeles, CA passed away Tuesday, October 17, 2017 surrounded by family. She was born in Indiana on June 22, 1929.
She will be remembered for her compassion, love of life and her undying love for her family and friends. Her laughter and smile were contagious. Her strength and determination knew no bounds. She was an inspiration and an awesome role model.
She is survived by husband Joe Byrd; daughters: Cheryl Nichols, Dana Naideau, Sarah Slotterbeck and Betty Nuckolls; grandchildren: Collette Philipp, T.J. Nichols, Joshua Nuckolls, Kori Nuckolls, Chris Slotterbeck, Darren Slotterbeck and Nicole Slotterbeck; Joel Phillip, Darren Slotterbeck and Yolanda Slotterbeck; great-grandchildren: Aiden Philipp, Joe Slotterbeck and Jamison Slotterbeck; many nieces, nephews and friends she left behind.
She will be missed by all that knew her. Everyone that met her loved her instantly. It is safe to say the world will be a bit less bright as her sparkle is no longer here with us. She is with the angels now and has definitely earned her wings.
Services for Cora will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, November 5, 2017 at Granada Presbyterian Church, 10400 Zelzah, Northridge, CA 91326. All who knew and loved her are encouraged to attend.

Hey Grandma,
I know I messed up but no matter what i did you still said you loved me. Gosh grandma, i'm going to miss you so much. But I know your in a better place. I love you grandma!! Make sure while you up there watching over all of us I need you to stop by at a few of my games watch me play a few innings. I remember you saying that you wanted to see me play.So make sure you come down and watch. I will make sure to hit you a home run one day:). I love you Grandma!!! Remember me please don't forget about me!! I will see you one sweet day.
