Dennis Edward Reinking

KINGSLEY - Dennis Edward Reinking, 76 of Kingsley IA passed away on Monday, October 30th following a courageous battle with Alzheimer's.
Visitation will be Friday, November 3rd from 5-7 pm at Rohde Funeral home in Kingsley IA with a7 pm prayer service. A celebration of life will take place on Saturday, November 4th at 10:30 at Salem Lutheran Church in rural Correctionville, IA.
Dennis was born on February 24, 1947 in Kingsley at Murphy Nursing Home. He was the oldestof three children of Ross and Wilma (Jessen) Reinking. Dennis attended a country school nearKingsley K-4 and graduated from Kingsley Pierson High School in 1966.
On May 29, 1966 he was united in marriage to Joan Marie Hinkhouse at Salem Lutheran Church.Dennis and Joan remained faithful members of Salem as Dennis was baptized, confirmed, andmarried there. Together Dennis and Joan started farming on the family farm west of Kingsley,where they raised their four amazing children. Dennis was blessed with many good years. Hewas truly meant to be a farmer and a father. He loved the land God gave him to till while hereon earth. Along with taking care of the land he took interest in creating a successful hogbusiness with his father and brother. He spent countless hours with his construction skillsbuilding farm necessities along with any project his family or church needed. Dennis enjoyedfishing, dancing with Joan, and keeping his yard and vehicles immaculate.
Dennis is survived by his wife Joan of 57 years, daughter Sandra (Steven) Nissen of Kearney MO; sons Brent (Sandy) Reinking of Kingsley, Perry (Jody) Reinking of Kingsley, and Ryan (Heidi)Reinking of Sgt. Bluff; 9 cherished grandchildren, Breannah (Keith) Ringler, Camrin (Celia)Nissen, Jillian (Trenton) Covington, Zachary Nissen, Cole Reinking, Allison Reinking, EmilyReinking, Jessen (Camryn) Reinking, Derek Reinking; and 3 precious great grandchildren,Brayden and Hudson Ringler and Sadie Nissen. Surviving siblings include Diane Sargisson of LeMars and David (Peg) Reinking of South Sioux City. Surviving brother-in-laws include Paul (Judy) Hinkhouse, Merle (Cheryl) Hinkhouse, sister-in-law Lorraine Jepsen and many nieces andnephews.
Those preceding Dennis in death are his parents Ross and Wilma, infant siblings sister Sharonand twin brothers Donald and Ronald and brother-in-law Julius Jepsen.
The family requests in lieu of flowers that memorials will be directed to Salem Lutheran Churchor to the Alzheimer's Association.
