I work at the Central Illinois Food Bank where Mr. Dickerson would come in and pickup food for the Zion Baptist Food Pantry. Some of my fondest memories of Mr. Dickerson was when he would pickup food along with his buddies and they would joke around with each other about the Cubs and Cardinals. Please accept my deepest sympathies.

Our hearts are filled with sadness over the loss of yet another uncle. My last surviving uncle. What I cherish most about all of my uncles was their ability to connect with the younger generations. My kids thought it was so cool to have uncles as hip as Uncle Ernie & Uncle Andy . Jazz could not be here but she sends her love . Wishing you all peace & comfort. The sun will shine again than will be Uncle Andy smiling down on us again.

To the Dickerson Family:
I have very fond memories of Mr. Dickerson, as a child growing up on Randall Ct. He always smiled-unless you crossed his lawn :), he always had time to talk, he kept a watchful eye over the neighborhood kids, and most of all he was a man to be respected, and we did respect him. Mr. Dickerson will never be forgotten. May God be you.

Dickerson Family: We are sorry for your loss, and thanks for sharing Mr. Andy with the world, he touched so many hearts. He was full of class and confidence, and he was funny too. Most recently, he will be remembered walking streaks into Taylor Ave. He inspired so many to start using our paths on the eastside, although there isn't much there, but it was enough to get started. Taylor Ave will seem a little empty with him gone, but now he can walk and walk, and never hurt or get tired again. Take Care Good Friend.
