Catherine L Glossop 1929 - 2021
Springfield, IL—Catherine L Glossop, 91, of Springfield, IL passed away at Sunny Acres nursing Home on Friday January 29, 2021.
Catherine was born in Springfield on December 23, 1929 the daughter of John P. and Ruth L. (Campbell) Maloney.
She loved to play bingo, cards and gambling at casinos. Catherine also enjoyed doing crossword puzzles in her free time and collected thimbles from all over the county. Catherine was employed at K-Mart for 9 years before going to work for the IL Dept. of Revenue for 22 years. She retired in 1990.
She is was preceded in death by her parents and her son, David.
Catherine is survived by her 2 daughters, Carol A. (Steve) of Springfield and Barbara K. (David) of Springfield; and a son, Denny of Springfield; 3 sisters, Patricia L. Boarman of Pawnee, Fran A. Gibson of Monticello, and Barbara J. Knighton of Laughlin, NV; 9 Grandchildren; 17 Great Grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Cremation services were held at Ellinger-Kunz and Park Funeral Home in Springfield and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made out to the Animal Protective League.

my sympathy to katie's family. i wondered why i didn't hear from her at xmas. i used to live across from katy (next to irene). i now live in grayslake but kept in touch. will miss her. ann myer
