Christopher Lemar Logan
SPRINGFIELD - Christopher Lemar Logan, 29, of Springfield, IL died on January 20, 2011, at 11:32 a.m. at home. He was born on October 27, 1981, in Springfield to his parents Lawrence and Delores Logan Jackson and his father Willie Wells.
Christopher attended and graduated from Southeast High School. He was a member of Holy City Missionary Baptist Church, and a member of the church Choir. He was also a member of a Gospel band, Mighty Sons of Zion Gospel Group.
His grandparents, Bessie and Marvin Logan preceded him in death.
Those surviving to cherish his memory: Parents, Lawrence and Delores Jackson of Springfield and Father, Willie Wells: Grandmother, Estella Wells, of Cleveland, Miss; two sons, Jaidyn and Jacyn Logan of Springfield: one daughter, Crislyn Logan of Springfield: two brothers, Letarizie and Willie Logan of Springfield: one sister, Deirdre Logan of Springfield: a host of Aunts, Uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and his church family.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday January 26, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. at Holy City Missionary Baptist Church with the service to follow at 11:00 a.m., Rev. Barrie West officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. W.W. White Memorial Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.

To my Uncle Lawrence Aunty Delores, Shonda, Toe, and Willie(Junior). I love you all. Still hard to believe Chris gone. No one knows the pain of losing a love one until they go throught it. What gets me through the days without my mother being here is thinking about all the laughs we shared. I remember Chris and I were at the fair when we were kids. The guy that sits in the water tank was trying to jone on my friend. Chris purchased three balls and slammed him right into the water then did this silly dance while. That was Chris always the gentleman.As I cry that memory and many more make me remember him and smile. Cousin I miss you and love you very much. God Bless

Sorry for your loss. Chris was a sweetheart. I met him while working at Jiffi Stop. The nicest thing he has done for me was sing a church song that he had written. Dolores and Bill, I was so sorry to hear about Chris. As you know, I have known Chris all of his life and still saw him occasionally. He was close friends with my daughter and they were facebook friends. Nothing I can say will take away the pain, but, know that you faith and love of God will see you through.
