Daren C. Cox
SPRINGFIELD - Daren C. Cox, 44, died at 1:50 p.m., Wednesday, June 17, 2015, at Memorial Medical Center.
He was born Nov. 5, 1970, in Portland, Ore., to Lloyd A. and Joyce Luna Avery. He married Trista R. Heibner on Oct. 5, 1996, and she survives.
Daren was a member of Cornerstone Ministries and served on the Ministry Team as well as Sunday School Director. He lived for his family and to serve others.
He was employed by Leland Grove Public Works.
Also surviving are one daughter, Madeline R. Cox; father, Lloyd (Debbie) Cox of Picayune, Miss.; mother, Joyce (Floyd) Avery of Bossier City, La.; one sister, Shanna T. Cox of Bossier City, La.; one stepbrother, Danny Bowman of Picayune, Miss.; several aunts and uncles; five nephews, Trey Cox, Chanse Heibner, Ian Heibner, Maddox Heibner and Wyatt Bowman; and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Illeen Cox and Revs. Norman and Maxine Luna.
Visitation: 11 a.m.–1 p.m., Monday, June 22, 2015, at Cornerstone Ministries, 812 Old Route 66, Litchfield, IL 62056.
Funeral Service: 1 p.m., Monday, June 22, 2015, at Cornerstone Ministries, 812 Old Route 66, Litchfield, IL 62056, with Reverend Steven Benthal officiating. Burial will follow at Old Salem Cemetery, Springfield, Illinois.
Memorial contributions may be made to Cornerstone Ministries Sunday School Dept.

I remembered when brother Daren help me accept Jesus Christ as my personal lord and savior when I attended New Beginnings church . He has always been a positive mentor to all in the ministry of the lord's word. I grew up with this mans Mom and I know she is suffering with the loss of her son. I never met him but I have heard a lot of good things from his Mom. She loved him dearly and I am praying that God gives the whole family peace and comfort in their hearts. Someday there will be a great reunion of all those that have gone on before us.
