Hilda Eileen Britz
WENTWORTH, MO-Hilda Eileen Britz of Wentworth, Missouri, peacefully entered into eternity on Wednesday, August 29, 2012 with her family at her side after a courageous battle with cancer. She began her earthly journey on August 14, 1940 in Waverly, Illinois born to the union of the late Walter and Ina (Delay) Rynders. Hilda was seventy-two years of age.
Hilda had an infectious personality that made everyone she came into contact with love her. She was a very hard worker who enjoyed the sparkle of a clean house and crystal clear windows. She loved spending time with her family and friends and always had the coffee pot on and ready. One of her greatest joys was traveling to the area casinos with her family and friends. She also had a deep love for her little dog, Precious.
Hilda spent her life being a wonderful mother but also found time to run Leisure Lakes in Chatham, Illinois for many years. She later opened Nickorbobs Craft Mall in Sarcoxie, Missouri until her retirement.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Pamala Freer; two sisters, Alice White and Georgia Mann; and three brothers, Robert, Frank and Walt Rynders.
Hilda is survived by two sons, Nicholas Britz of Springfield, Illinois and Robert Britz, Jr., of Divernon, Illinois; two daughters, Theresa Wangen and husband, Russell, of Pawnee, Illinois and Denise Connelly and husband, Timothy, of Rochester, Illinois; eight grandchildren, Terry, Dustin, Robert, Raina, Rebecca, Tyler, Jesse and Amanda; ten great-grandchildren; two brothers, Kenneth Brown of Girard, Illinois and Raymond Brown of Chatham, Illinois; two sisters, Patty Wease-Hohimer of Palmyra, Illinois and Jean Waters of Jacksonville, Illinois; her companion and best friend, Bobby Osborn of Wentworth, Missouri; his children, Cindy Pennington of Mt. Vernon, Missouri, Bobbi Ann White of Granby, Missouri, Connie Williams of Sarcoxie, Missouri and Roger Osborn of Wentworth, Missouri; the father of her five children, Robert W. Britz, Sr. several grandchildren and great-grandchildren on the Osborn side; as well as a host of other family and friends.
Visitation will be from 5 till 7 p.m. Monday, September 3, 2012 at the Pawnee Christian Church. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church with Rev. Kevin Wolfe officiating. Burial will be in Horse Creek Cemetery, Pawnee.
