PONTIAC - Jacqueline L. Sporrer, 90, of Pontiac, IL, formerly of Springfield, IL, died on Thursday, July 22, 2010, at 2:30 p.m. at OSF St. James John W. Albrecht Medical Center in Pontiac.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 27, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. at the Martin Funeral Home in Pontiac, with Rev. Heidi Punt officiating. Burial will be at Houder Cemetery, rural Pontiac. A visitation will be held on Monday, July 26, 2010, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorials in Jacqueline's name may be left to the American Cancer Society.
Jacqueline was born on July 11, 1920, in Pontiac, IL, a daughter of Floyd and Neva (Homer) Decker. She married Max C. Sporrer on August 18, 1938 in Bowling Green, Missouri; he preceded her in death on October 16, 1991.
Survivors include two sons, Larry (Diane) Sporrer and Ron (Judy) Sporrer, both of Springfield, IL; one daughter, Vickie Sporrer of Pontiac; ten grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Jacqueline was preceded in death by two daughters and one brother.
She was educated in Pontiac schools and was a homemaker.

It just doesn't seem real. She was someone you really thought was going to be here forever. She was the most energetic person I knew. Her laugh was contagious. The family reunion won't be the same without her....and her pies. We love you and will miss you terribly.

That picture of Jackie is awesome!! That smile of hers is what I will always remember. I've known Jackie since I was a little girl and she always kept an extra eye on all of us kids. She was a very special lady and someone I will always cherish in my heart!! My condolences go out to her family and I hope that the memories they have of Jackie will keep her spirit alive and provide comfort.
