James Leitch Obituary
Springfield, IL—James Richard "JR" Leitch, 82 of Springfield, died at 9:40 pm, Sunday, October 21, 2018 at Memorial Medical Center. He was born December 14, 1935 in Bethany, IL, to Lawrence and Modell Davis Leitch. He married Bonnie Barlow on February 14, 1973 and she survives.
Also surviving are one son, Eric Leitch of Auburn, CA; one daughter, Jennifer (Ken) Campbell of Tracy, CA; four grandchildren, Conner & Brenna Campbell and Eric Jr. and Taylor Leitch; and one great grandchild, Damien Leitch and his beloved dog, Misty.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, John Floski.
JR was a US Marines Corps Veteran. He attended First United Methodist Church. He worked in sales all of his life. He worked at Leath Furniture in Springfield and retired from Cohen Furniture. He enjoyed classic cars and traveling; loved his children and visiting with his friends at MCL Cafeteria.
The family will host a gathering for friends and family from 2-4 pm, Friday, October 26, 2018 at MCL Cafeteria.
Burial will be at a later date in Galva, IL.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Benld Adopt-A-Pet in Benld, IL or APL-Animal Protective League.
