Mary, I am sure my name will not ring a bell with you but my husband worked with Jeff at the radio station many years ago. Warren Pond, He also passed away to cancer at the age of 50. He really enjoyed working with Jeff. He broadcast on WFMB at the same time that Jeff was on WCVS. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

I met Jeff when I joined the on-air staff of WCVS in 1989. He impressed me with his warm, personable demeanor while being the consummate broadcast pro. I enjoyed many conversations with Jeff, including the welcoming of Kate by he and Mary into their hearts and home. Jeff shared his new involvement with UCP and reminded me why I and others should continue support for families affected by CP. Jeff was a knowledgeable and caring friend. I appreciate that he took time to speak to his colleagues and be an advisor and listener. My condolences to Mary and Kate, the Hofmann family and those who were touched by Jeff's life.
See ya later, Jeff!~Great show!

Sent Jeff an e-mail after he first became ill. I told him I could hardly wait to hear the dulcet tones of his voice on the air asap. He sent back a kind reply, which was just what I expected of him. Always a nice guy to me, whether on the air or running into him in person. I will miss him. Rob Van Meter
