John A. Vanes
SPRINGFIELD - John A. Vanes, 51 died Sunday, May 20, 2012 at his home in Springfield, IL. He was born April 20, 1961 in Springfield the son of Roosevelt and Elizabeth Vanes.
John was known as a very hard worker and passionate about his family, friends, and fishing. John was a member of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Springfield, IL. He worked formerly for Pedigo Sod, Landscaping Solutions and L & M Landscaping for 25 years.
Survivors: (companion) Diane Beard, brother Frank Vanes, son Martell (Shelina) Beard, daughter Lorena Beard, 5 grandchildren, Michael, Martell Jr., Melania, Miyonna and Monte Beard all of Springfield and a host of cousins and friends.
Memorial Services will be 10 am Friday, May 25, 2012 at Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, 2208 East Kansas, Springfield, IL.

I only knew John since last year when he did some landscaping work for me. He was a kind, God fearing man. He was so proud of his family. I was blessed to get to meet him. Rest in Peace, John.
