Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2014, at Calvert Funeral Home in Clinton, Ill., Pastor Brooks Wilson officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Clinton. Friends may call from 5-7 p.m., Monday, Jan. 13, 2014, at Calvert Funeral Home in Clinton.
Memorials may be directed to her son, Camden Bridge.
Kassidy was born Sept. 21, 1983, in Bloomington, Ill., the daughter of Kevin L. and Darah Kim (Gossett) Mitchell. She married Mark Bridge on Sept. 1, 2007, in Niguel, Jamaica.
Survivors include her husband, Mark Bridge of Springfield, Ill.; parents, Kevin L. and Darah Kim Mitchell of Clinton, Ill.; son, Camden Lewis Bridge, at home; in-laws, Tom and Lorie Ishmael of Riverton, Ill.; sister, Kisha (Andrew) Craig of Gridley, Ill.; nieces and nephews, Jersey, Landry, Knox and Brynnly Kassidy Belle who is on the way; half-sister, Michelle Landreth of Findley, Ill.; and her beloved dog, Minnie.
She was preceded in death by her beloved dogs, Louie and Susie.
After a 2½-year battle with cancer, Kassidy, who inspired so many with her strength and positive spirit through even the most difficult times, has entered into heaven to be with God. She passed at home while holding the hands of her husband and mother, both who were her primary caregivers. She was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. Anyone having had the privilege of meeting Kassidy knows how incredibly funny, generous and beautiful she was both inside and out.
Her husband, Mark was the love of her life. Together they made many memories and lived life to the fullest. Every day was a new adventure as they enjoyed travel and a variety of shared hobbies and interests. Despite her illness, Kassidy insisted that they fill their weekends with water parks, county fairs, zoos and family gatherings. She was always looking for something new and exciting to do to create those special memories for Camden. Kassidy wanted to make the most of each day as she knew not to take them for granted…something I think she has inspired in all who knew and loved her.
Kassidy was a member of South Side Christian Church. She was a fashionista who loved to shop and had an eye for making thrift store bargains resemble high end runway styles. Even during her illness, Kassidy was always one of the most striking people in a crowded room. She enjoyed spending time with close friends and cherished her time with family. She was a very proud aunt and loved her nieces, Jersey and Landry, and her nephew, Knox. In turn, they idolized her and will never forget the things she taught them and the fun times they shared.
Our family would like to thank Dr. Laurent Brard for always believing in Kassidy's incredible will to live. She thought very highly of him. We also extend thanks to the compassionate hospice staff. We are forever grateful for all of those who supported Kassidy during her fight, and who continue to support Mark, Camden, and all of our family during our time of loss.
Please continue to honor Kassidy by sharing your stories of her with Camden to ensure she lives in his heart forever.

My heart goes out to ALL of Kassidy's Dear Family with my Deepest Sympathy. I first met Kassidy & Kisha through their parents when they were very young (as I got to be their babysitter). She was just as vibrant & beautiful back then as well. Kassidy will be the "Sweetest Angel" up there for her dear baby boy Camden.

Our deepest sympathy to Mark and Camden in the loss of a beautiful wife and mother. Also to my nephew Kevin and his family in the loss of their beautiful daughter, sister and aunt. She will be greatly missed by her aunt, uncle and many cousins. Although taken from us too soon, we know that a beautiful angel is welcomed into t
he open arms of her beloved grandmother Martha Mitchell, and great grandparents, especially "Grandma Lampe", who loved her, as well as our whole family dearly. When you see the brightest star in heaven, you will know she is looking over us. Love you Kasaidy, Martha, and Moms and Dads too.

I watched Kassidy work wonders on clients hair at "who does your hair". She would talk to them as though they were her best friend. I didn't know her but admired her beauty. Later, in life my daughters good friend told her to pray for her cousin- that was Kassidy.small world in Springfield. My heart is heavy today with sorrow for the loss but joyfull for the bliss Kassidy muct be in now. Kathy Lamsargis

Kassidy was my beautiful, young hairdresser. When I saw her last year at the mall with Camden in his stroller, she didn't even look sick. She didn't act sick, either, which must have taken tremendous strength of spirit and an intrinsic happiness she shared with everyone she knew.
I am so glad Camden is going to have his loving mother with him as his guardian angel, and in many photos and videos, through every step of his life. My deepest sympathy to Kassidy's dear mother and husband.
