SPRINGFIELD - Kristi Ann Termine Royer, PharmD, RPh, 37, of Springfield, died at 8:51 am, Friday, March 18, 2011 at St. John's Hospital. She was born March 2, 1974 in Champaign, Illinois to John Termine and Theda Termine-Kaylor. She married Jeff Royer on October 23, 2009 and he survives.
She is also survived by one step-son Justin Royer of Springfield; Mother: Theda Termine (Richard) Kaylor of Springfield and Father: John (Janice) Termine of Anthem, AZ; one brother Steve (Leslie) Termine of Sherman; one step-sister Jordanna Willman of Springfield and three step-brothers Jimmy Termine of Anthem, AZ, Bryan and Jamie Kaylor of Springfield; numerous aunts and uncles nieces and nephews Kaitlyn, Matthew, Brooklyn, Patrick, Abigayle, Nicholas and Brittney, several cousins, beloved family pets Morgan and Lux and many, many friends.
Kristi graduated in 1992 from Batavia High School. She received a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Illinois State University in 1996. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Midwestern University with a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy in 2001 and received a Doctor of Pharmacy in 2002 from Midwestern University.
She worked as the Pharmacy Manager at ShopKo.
Visitation: 4pm – 7pm, Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at Staab Funeral Home.
Funeral Service: 11 am, Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at Staab Funeral Home with Phil Chiles officiating. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
Memorial Contributions may be made to Mayo Clinic or the Animal Protective League in Springfield.

I was friends with Kristi from High School and when I ran into recently after not seeing her for many years she was still the same smiling person I remembered. It was also clear how how happy she was with you Jeff and that she was at a good place in her life.
Though I am deeply saddened by her passing, I'm comforted to know that she was surrounded by great people to share her joyful spirit with!

Prayer For A Broken Heart
Please Dear God, let me get through this,
My heart is broken and in many pieces.
Please give me the strength to face this head-on.
And through it all, please keep me strong.
Please take my hand,
And show me the way,
That there is light at the end of the tunnel,
Even if I can’t see it today.
I know you have your reasons,
But, that doesn’t make it hurt any less.

As right now, I am just a mess.

I met Kristi in Shopko when I was with my daughter Kimberly.. She said "Mom I want you to meet the most wonderful person in the world and without her we would not have had such great support after finding out that Jack has Juvenile Diabetes." I will never forget that day just my looking in her eyes you could see the caring, sharing, giving person within. Dear Jeff,
I worked with Kristi for many years at Osco Pharmacy in Yorkville. I remember when you and Kristi were dating prior to her moving to Springfield. Her bright smiling face and her spunky way of life and just the way that she talked about you, I know that what you two have is true love. Kristi would keep photographs of you and Lux in her work email address just so that she could look at her "handsome men" all day while she was at work "living the dream". I knew Kristi was living the dream when she was with you. The way she talked about you, the way her face light up anytime you were mentioned and just the way she carried herself, it was hard to not notice the love that was oozing from her soul. Kristi was more than a coworker to me, she was a friend and a mentor. She helped me get accepted into pharmacy school, and was my cheerleader throughout those rough four years of my life at Midwestern. I have just graduated and am very glad that I was able to share my photos with her from my graduation ceremony before she passed away. I don't think I would be where I am today if it weren't for the help of Kristi. I sit here writing this entry as tears are filling my eyes, but it is reassuring to know that we will all be united again someday.

I met Kristi through my daughter, Emily, who worked for Kristi at the Shopko pharmacy. Kristi always offered my daughter so much support, guidance and encouragement. She provided her with a wonderful work experience, and was not only a great role model and mentor, but also a friend. She always had a positive, energetic outlook and her beautiful smile could brighten any day. She greatly influenced so many lives and it was truly a blessing to have known her. She will be sadly missed but always remembered by the many, many people who had the pleasure to know her. We are so sorry for your loss.

Wow the memories that I have of us as kids, didnt get to see a lot of each other but the times that we did were great! From making forts in the bedrooms to hiding your blanket from you.
