SPRINGFIELD, IL – Lori Sue Abbott-Edwards, 52, passed away Friday, Feb. 21, 2014, at her home.
She was born Oct. 22, 1961, in New London, Wisc., to Ronald and Elizabeth (Tetzlaff) Abbott. She married Timothy Edwards in Springfield on Feb. 14, 1986.
She was employed by Pearson Professional for 12 years and previously employed as an occupational therapist at Memorial Medical Center. She was a member of West Side Christian Church.
She is survived by her husband, Timothy C. Edwards, O.D.; son, Thomas Edwards, of Springfield; daughters, Tess Edwards, of Kansas City, Mo., and Callie Edwards, of Warrensburg, Mo.; parents, Ronald and Elizabeth Abbott, of Fremont, Wisc.; sister, Joey Tews of Phoenix, Ariz.; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Kelly Wilhite.
Private family services will be held at a later date.

was saddened to see she has passed on ... I enjoyed getting to know her a little bit last year as her wound nurse , May the Lord comfort you all and be near you especially during this time of grief .

I loved Lori so much. She is the reason I became an OT. She was a wonderful person. My prayers are constant for Tim, Tommy, Callie and Tess. I love you all so much and am here if you need anything!
