Melissa Moore
SPRINGFIELD - Melissa Moore, 61, of Springfield, passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2013, at her home.
Melissa was born on October 16, 1951, in Springfield, the daughter of Robert and Billie Warden Moore.
She retired from Lincoln Land Community College where she worked in the Accounts Payable Department. She loved spending time with her family. Whether it was a school function or sporting event, she was always there to cheer you on. For her family that lived, she made sure you knew that she was always thinking of you. She loved to read and had a passion for History. She enjoyed watching the St. Louis Cardinals, NASCAR, golf and music. She also had a big heart for dogs and she was a supporter of the Animal Protective League for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Mark and Matthew Moore; brother-in-law, Paul Beeson Jr.; and a nephew, Jacob Moore.
She is survived by one sister, Luellen Beeson of Harristown; two brothers, Luke (Rhonda) Moore of Paducah, KY and John (Dawn) Moore of Springfield; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 24, 2013, at Oak Ridge Cemetery with Vaughn Beeman officiating.

At LLCC, she was one of the most friendly people we worked with, always patient and willing to explain. It's sad that she was able to have only a short retirement.
She's in my memory book as a wonderful person!
