Robert W. Hanselman
SPRINGFIELD - Robert W. Hanselman, 62, of Springfield died at 4:47 a.m. on Thursday, September 20, 2012 at St. John's Hospice.
Robert was born June 17, 1950, in Pana, IL, the son of Robert A. Hanselman and Irmgard Maiwald Clayton.
Robert was employed for over 30 years by the State of Illinois, most recently working with the Kids Care program. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Post 4175. Robert was a lifelong fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and Green Bay Packers.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his siblings, Karen Hanselman, and Michael (Leigh Ann) Hanselman, all of Springfield.
Cremation will be accorded by Butler Cremation Tribute Center prior to ceremonies.
Graveside Ceremonies: The family will host a graveside ceremony at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at Calvary Cemetery, Springfield, with Rev. Msgr. John Ossola, officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to: American Cancer Society, 675 E. Linton Ave., Springfield, IL 62703 or Animal Protective League, 1001 Taintor Rd., Springfield, IL 62702.
