SPRINGFIELD - Susan Neavill Bice, age 68, of Springfield, passed away on Wednesday, April 25, 2012, at her home.
She is survived by a son Dale (wife Staci) Garlits of Springfield; daughter Dawn Goin (fiancé Whitney Harvey) of California; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three sisters, Betty Howard, Frances Weidhuner, and Mary Jane Murphy; and several nieces and nephews.
Susan is preceded in death by a son, Chris Garlits; and a brother, Lee Neavill.
She was born August 2, 1943 the daughter of Matt and Jessie (Kern) Neavill near Fancy Prairie.
Susan was a member of the Third Presbyterian Church in Springfield. She worked at SIU School of Medicine and University of Texas for nearly 30 years, and later at Wal-mart for 3 years in the Maintenance Department.
Susan enjoyed gardening, cooking, sewing, and especially her grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Third Presbyterian Church on Tuesday, May 1, 2012 from 10:00 until time of funeral services there at 11:00 AM.
