DELLA PARKER Obituary
She was born on August 14, 1942 in Sedro-Woolley, the daughter of Madison & Elma (Davis) Parker. She was raised and attended grade school in Marblemount until moving to Mount Vernon and graduated from Mount Vernon High School with the class of 1960.
She was first married to Jim Wheeler and later she was united in marriage to Tom Albertine and they made their home and raised their family in Seattle.
Della worked as a sales clerk for the Sears store on Aurora Avenue for several years.
In 1977 Della returned to Skagit County making her home in Mount Vernon. She was very talented at knitting and crocheting and for several years taught classes with as many as 100 students in a class. She also enjoyed sorting thru treasures at the thrift stores and garage sales.
Della is survived by her children, Scott Albertine and his wife, Steina of Mount Vernon and Judy Garner and her husband, Chuck of Sedro-Woolley; her grandsons, Ryan & Austin Garner; 3 step-sisters, Carol Higgins in Oklahoma, and Connie Bovier and Marlyn Scott in Texas; 2 sisters-in-law, Helen Parker of Concrete and Joan (Parker) Rabb of Sedro-Woolley; 3 nieces, Kathy Wilson, Sharon Johnson and Sherry Hornbeck and a nephew, Matt Parker.
She was preceded in death by her father, Madison Parker; her mother and step-father, Elma & Vernon Bovier and 2 brothers, Ronald & Stanley Parker.
Graveside Services for Della will be held at the Sedro-Woolley Union Cemetery on Friday, November 22, 2013 at 2:30 PM with Pastor Rob Thomas of the Community Bible Church of Concrete officiating.
