My condolences to the family. My family and I lived across the street from Jay when we were little kids. Jay and I used to play together. I am happy to see he had a good life and so sorry he became ill and left so soon. I know your faith will bring you comfort. God bless you all.

My thoughts and prayers are with Jay's family. I worked with Jay for 18 years. Both at the Skagit Valley Herald and Everett Herald. We often talked about sports, movies and especially family. As Jay had also known my wife, sister and father in law. He always spoke very highly and fondly of his wife and his boys. He was a good man, and I'm sad to hear that he is gone.
