Jeffrey Keesecker Obituary

Jeff Keesecker went home to be with his Lord, suddenly and without warning on April 6, 2007, just 8 1/2 month after marrying the love of his life, Cheryl, whom he'd known since childhood. Jeff was a wonderful, loving husband, and a terrific friend, who was always more concerned with others than himself.

He was a long time athlete with Special Olympics, which he truly enjoyed. He won several trophies and awards. He was also a long time member of a bowling league. He was an active person who hated to be still. He was always finding something to do, or someone to help. Jeff proved himself to be a valuable asset at The Rock Church where he faithfully found ways to serve others.

Jeff was born on April 13, 1958 in Renton, WA to Carl (Bud) and Valeta (Babe) Keesecker whom raised him in Rockport, WA along with his younger twin sisters. Jeff was a wonderful son, brother, uncle and friend who will be missed deeply and will always be in our hearts.

He is survived by his parents, Carl and Valeta from Rockport, WA; sister Cari and brother-in-law David Dellinger and their four children of Concrete WA; sister Colleen and brother-in-law Jim Nushart and their three children of Marblemount WA.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 14th at 1pm at the Mount Vernon Church of the Nazarene located at 2710 E Fir St., Mount Vernon, WA with Steve Lotze, his pastor and friend officiating. Followed by a fellowship potluck.

Viewing will be held Thursday, April 12th at Hawthorne Funeral Home from 10-5pm.

Donations in lieu of flowers would be greatly appreciated to help with funeral expenses and can be dropped off or mailed to Hawthorne Funeral Home, 1825 E. College Way, Mount Vernon.

Arrangements are under the care of Hawthorne Funeral Home, Mount Vernon.

I have known Jeff his entire life and watched him grow up in Rockport. I have many fond memories of him throughout his life. I watched him drive his old car through town with the biggest of smiles on his face. I also watched him skip rocks from one side of the Skagit River to the other. He will be deeply missed. My condolences to the family and friends.

He will always be "Jeffie" to me. I, too was surprised to see he was following the Lord and giving back so much to society. My own Son, Marc and he have much in common. Goodbye to my little baby Cousin, Jeff, see you again in Heaven.

Love,

Marie "Micki"

We live on the eastern edge of the state now and cannot attend the services, but please know we are sorry for your loss and we send our condolences to Bud & Babe, Jeff's new wife and other famiy. I remember Jeff especially at the dances we played for...he loved music and rarely missed any of them.
We're so very glad to hear he found happiness and that he was a believer.

I'm so sorry to hear this news. I'm too far away to attend Jeff's funeral, but will pray for him.

I
am saddened to learn of Jeff's unexpected passing. My condolences to
his families and his bride and at this time I pray for strength for
all. Though I have not been in the valley for a while - I do remember
Jeff in the Concrete schools from as early as '66. I was always
impressed with his self courage, even in the face of some of the
bullies that made learning even harder. I am happy to know that he had
a personal relationship with the Lord.
