JOSEPH FAUPEL Obituary
Joe is survived by his parents, Margaret and Jim Brown and Fred and Jackie Faupel, siblings Rick (Caryn) Faupel, Scott (Naceme) Faupel, Jill Brown, Brook (Donna) Pfluger, Dan (Lorri) Pfluger, and Michelle (Joel) Buchanan, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Joe was preceded in death by his brother Jeff Faupel and a nephew Jake Pfluger.
For most of Joe's life he was a drug and alcohol counselor for Spencer Recovery in Laguna Beach, CA. and St. Pete's Beach, FL.
Joe had a tremendous impact on the recovery of many and his warm spirit, infectious smile and gregarious laugh brought joy to all who knew him.
There will be a celebration of Joe's life on Dec. 28th from 2:30-4:30 PM at the Squalicum Boathouse at 2600 Harbor Loop, Bellingham, WA.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your local Humane Society.

Dear Jim and Margaret- I'm not even sure you remember me-it's been so many years. I met Joe back in 1979 when I was working with Kevin and Kathy Lindsay at the Holiday Inn on Lakeway. Joe and I hung out with the same friends for a couple of years before he headed to California. We saw each other from time to time when he would be up in Bellingham, but like Joe, I also lived in Califoria (northern) and several places over the years. It has been some time and only three days ago Joe was on my mind. I thought I would see where he was only to find a couple of articles on him, including this one. I am so sorry for your loss, I'm also sorry I didn't know sooner so I could have come up to Bellingham. My prayers are with you and you family that you will heal and find peace and comfort.

Dear Jim and Margaret- It's been a long time since we spoke. I'm so sorry for your loss of Joe. It sounds like he made the absolute most of his time here on earth, helping and healing others. David told me last night in a phone conversation. Blessings to you and the rest of the family. I know as the youngest of the boys he was special.I would have sent a card but couldn't find your address. I hope the memorial service does justice to him.

We are so thankful for the opportunities we had to be with you and Joe and for tremendous support and encouragement he gave me with respect to my work with the most vulnerable in Miami.
