LINDA DOWE Obituary

Linda McIntyre Dowe of Mount Vernon passed away peacefully on Friday, November 21st, 2014.

She was born in Sedro-Woolley on July 15th, 1954 to Jean and David McIntyre.

Linda attended schools in Sedro Woolley and Big Lake, and graduated from the Convent of the Sacred Heart High School in Vancouver, British Columbia in 1972. She received a Bachelor's Degree in English from St. Mary's College in South Bend, Indiana during 1976. She married Bill Dowe on April 11th, 1977.

People who knew Linda were impressed by her energy and enthusiasm in her activities. She enjoyed a wide variety of hobbies including stained glasswork, gardening, computers, and playing in volleyball and softball leagues. Some of her accomplishments included showing a Malamute to a championship and organizing annual Mother's Day plants sales for the Nitty Gritty Garden Club.

Her family thinks her motto was "If it's worth doing, it's worth overdoing." Her children and her gardens were most important to her and fortunately she lived long enough to see all of them bloom and prosper.

Her family will miss her dearly.

Linda is survived by her husband Bill and two children, Kegan Dowe and his partner Krista Lindsay, and Jessica Gillespie along with her husband Brian and their daughter Zoe. She is also survived by her sister Lisa McIntyre and brother David McIntyre III.

Her memorial will be held in the Blanchard Community Hall at 3606 Legg Road, Bow, WA. It will be held on Friday, November 28th at 1:30 PM. Gifts are suggested to Camp Kirby, Samish Camp Fire Council.
