I am seeing this only now and am saddened. Doug and I were on swim
teams in Ladera and at Woodside High School, and sometimes hung
out after school. He was a great swimmer and a great person.
I wish I had known him later and followed his work in the arts.
My deepest condolences.

Malcom and I lived on the same floor of Prescott House at Cowell College, UCSC from 1968-1970.
We also lived together in a house in Santa Cruz from 1970-to 1973.
He bailed me out of jail following a sit-in in front of the Santa Cruz draft board, May 8th, 1970.
He did the illustration on the cover of my sister's bat mitzvah invitation. It was amazing.
He pitched (well) for my college intramural softball team.
I will always remember him for his razor sharp sense of humor. He possessed a profound sense of the absurd.

My deepest sympathies to Paula and Malcolm's family. I went to college with Malcolm and we ounce lived at 611 Broadway in Santa Cruz. He was a great friend and such a talent. I have great memories of our time together. Going to Giant's games, going to see the Van Gogh exhibit at the De Young, singing Cat Stevens songs on a trip to Berkeley and talking about having children. There are so many found memories. Malcolm was a great man who made the world a better place. It is an honor to have known him and to have called him a friend.
