NANCY PARKER Obituary

Nancy Parker, 73, passed away at her home in Concrete, WA, with her sons at her side. The oldest child of Albert and Lillie Matier, Nancy was raised in Concrete and spent a majority of her adult life there, except for short periods of time living in Oregon, Hawaii and Alaska.

Nancy married Dick Pemmant in 1962 and they had two sons, Brett and Bart. In 1972, Nancy married Bud Parker and welcomed a step-daughter, Connie, and step-son Ernie. The family finished growing with the addition of their youngest son, Joel.

To know Nancy was to know true hilarity and gut-busting laughter in pretty much any situation or location. She had a genuine love for people and welcomed everyone as a friend. Nancy was feisty and out-spoken and never left a doubt as to where you stood with her, good or not.

Nancy worked in retail much of her adult life. The last few years before retirement she worked as a flagger for a linemen crew on road projects. The family would like to thank Jerry, Manny and the crew. She enjoyed her time there and knew how well you took care of the "old lady".

Nancy is survived by her sons, Brett (Kim) Pemmant of Pensacola, FL; Bart (Jo) Pemmant of Sedro-Woolley, WA: Joel Parker of Concrete, WA; step-son Ernie (Yun) Parker of Hamilton, WA; step-daughter Connie Parker of Omak, WA; 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Nancy had a special circle of friends from all walks of life. You know who you are and how much she valued your friendship. The family appreciates everyone who called, visited and kept in touch with Nancy in her last few months.

The family would also like to express a special thank-you to Nancy's care team at Hospice Of The Northwest- Jen S., Denise,Talon, Janet.....your support of Nancy and her family gave us all strength.

A celebration of life will be held later in the year when the weather is warm and we can plan for a BBQ, one of Nancy's favorite ways to gather her family and friends together.

Not living in WA at the time of Nancy´s passing I missed this published in the Anacortes paper. Nancy was a dear friend and was always very good to me. I think about her most every day, I do miss her a lot.

I will just say Nancy was truly a wonderful lady. I remember her and Bud going to Barts and my boxing matches. She was always very nice to me even when I wasn't doing so great. Always had a smile on her face and I always stopped and chatted with her when she was flagging for my fellow lineman buddies. God Bless You Nancy! Say hello to Bud for me. With Love
