Roann Gwin Obituary

Mt. Vernon, WA - Roann Lynette Gwin (Anderson), beloved wife, mother, family member and friend passed away November 21, 2024, from complications of ovarian cancer. She will be remembered for her kindness, easy laughter, steadiness of character, humility, quiet strength, and deep love for her family and friends.

Born in Gothenburg, Nebraska on October 13, 1958 to Dean and Catherine Anderson, Roann was the third of four children. The family moved to Holdrege Nebraska when she was 8 and Roann graduated from Holdrege High School and then attended community college nearby, before moving to Alaska.

After moving to Washington, she created wonderful life for her children Laura and Ryan as a single mom. On March 3, 1997 Roann married her husband Dennis M. Gwin and they settled in Mt. Vernon, Washington where they blended their families. Roann and Dennis enjoyed travelling together to Cancun, Mexico and many other destinations. They built two beautiful homes together and renovated their cabin in Nordman, Idaho where family and friends often gathered creating lifelong memories.

Roann was a never ending champion for all her children's dreams and aspirations. She loved them unconditionally. When she became a Grandma she took on one of her favorite roles as "Nana Ro".

Professionally, Roann was a faithful hard worker making quick, lifelong friends with many. When not working, Roann was busy living! She enjoyed fishing, boating, spending time at Priest Lake, making jewelry, sewing, and being with family and friends.

Roann was preceded in death by her father, Dean Anderson. She will be greatly missed by her husband Dennis Gwin, Children and Step Children (Laura, Ryan, Jason, Danelle, Sarah) and grandchildren and great grandchildren (Henry, Ivar, Taylor, Jacob, Katie, Isaac, Leland, Kameron, Westley, Daisy, and Wrenley), mother (Catherine Anderson), brothers and sister (Haroldean, Shawn and Bart), nieces (Audra and Chelsea).

Memorial services to be announced.
