Robert Bicknell Obituary

Robert W. Bicknell, 61, a Sedro-Woolley resident, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Saturday, March 31, 2007.

He was born on October 16, 1945 in Wichita Falls, Texas, the son of June Edward and Ollivette Sue (Killough) Bicknell, Jr. His parents were in the military so he was raised and attended schools all over the world.

He was a professional musician in the music business for many years and had recorded a few albums. Robert had been a resident of Sedro-Woolley since 2002 and it was from there with his family he started Bikbilt Recording Studio.

His passion was entertaining and his music and it was only exceeded by his love for his family and friends. He also enjoyed woodworking and fishing, but his main love will always be his music.

Robert is survived by two brothers, William Bicknell of Sedro-Woolley and Tim Bicknell of Silverthorne, CO; three nephews, Justin and Robert Bicknell of Sedro-Woolley and Wil Francis of Seattle, and a niece, Sara Bicknell of Silverthorne, CO; his companion, Michele Noel of Yakima, WA, a sister-in-law, Anne Bicknell of Denver, CO and his former wife, Mary Bicknell of Big Bear, CA.

At Robert's request there will be no services. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley.

Dr. BOB. As his friends would call him, was a great person and a incredible musician. He taught me many things about the music business. He had a great singing voice and was an incredible presence on the stage when we played music together.

I have alot of fond memories about Bob. The Canyon was such a fun place in the 70s and 80s and Bob was a big part it. He was a great muscian and I had such a good time dancing at the Alpine Inn to his music as did alot of other Canyonites. He had a very gentle side to his personality that I'm sure not everyone got to see. I'm sorry he is gone at such a young age and my thoughts are with his family and friends.
